Today is Wednesday September 30, 2009,  The weather man is calling for the first frost of the season tonight.  Sure, "Indian Summer" is still to come, but there is no denying that the really warm days are over and the cold, bleakness of winter is just around the corner.
Well, not exactly right around the corner.
    First comes Fall.
There are some people who just despise Autumn.  "Everything's dying" they complain.
I choose to take a different approach.
The Bible says that we are created in the image of God.  That implies several things, but something that often gets overlooked is the ability God gives us to notice and appreciate beauty.
God loves beauty.  And He puts it in unusual places.
For instance, God is under no obligation to make dying leaves turn colorful, but He does.  And He not only does it for HIS
enjoyment, He allows us to share the experience as well.
Just think of some of the other beauties of Fall that God allows us to enjoy: the warm, crystal-clear days and the cool, clear nights; the beauty of the harvest; the comfort of a bonfire.  The list goes on and on.  Our Heavenly Father delights in beauty and He's given us the privilege of enjoying it right along with Him.
Don't forget to tell Him "Thanks!"

See you soon!
