I have a confession to make: what you are reading right now is not my own original work.   And you should be most grateful for that!

Before you ever read a word of "Bill's Blotter" the article must first pass the scrutiny of our Web master/editor.  She looks for grammatical goofs, slip-ups, faux pas and outright flagrant violations (which I usually supply in abundance.)

Now, you must understand something about this Editor: she's a very nice person.  But when it comes to grammar, she is ruthless.  But allow me to say something about this "ruthlessness": she never makes corrections based on her own prejudices....she uses established rules of grammar as established by those authorities "in the know."

Some people wonder why Christians are always referring to the Bible to answer life's difficult questions.   The answer is: we defer to the One who is in authority.   Sure, we could make all decisions based on our own likes and dislikes.  We could free-lance just like some people free-lance when it comes to grammar (have you ever try to decipher an email?)   But if you want a clear, concise, definitive, AUTHORITATIVE answer to life's questions, you have to go to the Word.

Consider Paul's words to Timothy in:

1 Timothy 3:16-17:

16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work

Get to know God's Word...His guidelines for living.  You will find clarity and some really good advice.

See you soon!

Bill
