Greetings readers and fellow Rose-Hillians:

Welcome to the new Rose Hill Church of Christ website. First, I would like to thank Romona Inskeep, Rob Shoecraft, and my lovely wife, Theresa, for their efforts in the creation of this website. These three are indicative of what is happening at Rose Hill Church of Christ. People are beginning to see a niche for their talents and gifts and are leaping into the arena to share the Gospel with others. I hope you will enjoy this website as it grows and develops.

For the first installment of the Deacon’s essay, I’d like to appeal to any potential candidate for the position of Deacon to spend some serious time in prayer and query in seeking God’s guidance. Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 3:1, “It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer (deacon/elder), it is a fine work he desires to do.” Leadership has its difficulties but the rewards far outweigh the quandaries. The hard work and sacrifice (and there are sacrifices) become insignificant when you see the positive results manifested in people’s lives. Although simple and humble, maintaining the church environs can bring joy to those enjoying a summer picnic or a reflective walk in the back acreage. The bottom line is, if you sense God is tugging at your spiritual moor to possibly serve as a deacon, please feel free to contact me or any of the board members. From us to you:
