Fellow Rose Hillers, First, a big, big thank you to all volunteers who have been mowing the church lawn. Your contribution has been enormous. Second, the back acreage was contracted to be cut and baled into hay and as of this writing this has been accomplished. If you drive back there, you will see large rolls of hay waiting to be loaded. I asked the farmer if he could leave one roll by Herod’s hut so we could feed the animals during the live nativity and he agreed. This agreement has helped save the church the cost of diesel fuel (10-15 gallons of fuel is required to mow the back), wear and tear on the Kubota, and time for Charles, Larry, or me to mow it. Plus, a farmer gets high quality hay for his livestock for only the cost of his equipment. It’s about as much of a win-win situation as one can design. Now if only our elected officials could take note…. We are on a good pace to have enough money to pay for a new roof within the next couple of years so thank you Rose Hill for that. There are lots of projects that could be tackled if we had the money and muscle to do them. If you are seeking a small ministry to contribute, let me know. I will run it by the board and will let you know. Nothing too small and nothing too big. Thanks. Paul |
